David Sheridan is an American actor, comedian, writer, producer and musician best known for playing Special Officer Doofy in the 2000 movie Scary Movie.
Sheridan was born in Newark, Delaware. He was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) fraternity at William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey.
Starting out as an intern at "Saturday Night Live," he entered Chicago's famed comedy troupe, The Second City, where he wrote, directed and produced "Dave Sheridan's America", a multimedia stage show. He also starred on Buzzkill, a 1996 MTV reality series about three slacker buddies staging elaborate pranks and catching it all on video. He later went on to star in "Scary Movie," "Ghost World" and music videos for the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He now tours with his own band, Van Stone, that formed in 2004.
Sheridan has also hosted a series called "Smile...You're Under Arrest!" on the Fox Reality Channel from 2008 to 2009. In 2014, he portrayed Sheriff Lincoln in the parody, "The Walking Deceased," inspired by "The Walking Dead." In 2015, he starred in "Amigo Undead" and in "White Space."
In 2016, Dave started co-hosting "The Dave and Creech Show" Podcast with actor/podcaster CJ.
