Cheryl Ann Oteri is an American actress and comedian possibly best known as a regular cast member on "Saturday Night Live" from 1995 to 2000.

Oteri was born and grew up in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, just west of Philadelphia, the daughter of Gaetano Thomas Oteri, founder and CEO of a music publishing company Of Music, and Patricia Breen Oteri. She has Italian ancestry and grew up with three siblings, attending Archbishop Prendergast High School in Upper Darby’s Drexel Hill neighborhood.

After moving to Los Angeles, Oteri worked at A&M Records for four years and eventually joined the famed comedy troupe, "The Groundlings." In 1995, she and fellow Groundlings members Chris Kattan and Will Ferrell auditioned for SNL. She was hired as a repertory performer in September 1995, becoming a break-through star and fan favorite. Her success on the show led to several movies, including Scary Movie, "Inspector Gadget," "Liar Liar" with Jim Carrey, "Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd," "Shrek the Third" and "Southland Tales."

Oteri has also made regular guest appearances on several television shows, such as "Just Shoot Me!," "Strangers with Candy" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm." In 2009, she became a regular voice cast in the Fox animated comedy series, "Sit Down, Shut Up" as Helen Klench, the unappreciated librarian who often gets mistaken for objects. She also played a tooth fairy on "Imagination Movers," a regular feature on the Playhouse Disney block.

Oteri also starred in the AMC web series "Liza, Life Coach" in 2010 and the pilot episode of "Glory Daze," which premiered on TBS on November 16, 2010. She hosted AXS TV's "Gotham Comedy Live" on May 26, 2016 in New York City.
