Maria is one of the supporting characters in Scary Movie 5. She was played by actress Lidia Porto.
Bio[]
Maria (last name unknown) is a live-in housekeeper for Dan Sanders and Jody Sanders. When the couple brings home Dan's nieces and nephew, she falls in love with them and wants to coddle them. However, with them comes a dark presence that becomes known as Mama. When she describes feeling the presence, she tries convincing Dan and Jody it exists, but they just humor her. Maria soon tries exorcising itself, even going as far as using the ritual of Santeria and spraying chicken blood on the walls. When the Sanders take notice, she recommends they hire psychic Blaine Fulda, who turns out to be a fraud. As activity escalates, Maria sleepwalks in her room. Eventually, Dan tires of her and fires her, which breaks her heart. The two of them break into a fight on the front lawn of the house, a fight that continues to Dan's primatology lab that ends up releasing all the apes. She later tries to get revenge on him, trying to give him food made of feces. Before him, she confesses she loves him because he reminds her of her father. Dan confesses she reminds him of his father.
