"The Ghostface Killer"
The Stevenson County Massacre were a series of fictional slasher-style murders that occur in the 2000 film, Scary Movie.
Background[]
The Stevenson County Massacre occurs in Stevenson County. Neither the city or the state is identified. The murders had no pattern and a variety of different weapons but were linked by a figure in a Halloween-mask, a figure who became known as "the Ghostface Killer" or just Ghostface. After an extensive police investigation, local girl Cindy Campbell, discovered she was being victimized by a two killers, her classmates, Bobby Prinze and Ray Wilkins, seeking frame and fortune by framing the original killer for the murders they committed. In the aftermath. they would frame Cindy's father, and then pass themselves off as survivors. These plans were waylaid after the original Ghostface appeared and murdered them. This figure turned out to be Doofy Gilmore, a local autistic taking revenge on girls who had refused him. This girls included, but were possibly not limited to, Drew Decker and Cindy herself.
Victims[]
- Drew Decker was the original victim. She received a call from Doofy using a synthetic voice as he secretly entered her house and murdered her
- Greg Phillipe was murdered in full view of Buffy Gilmore, Greg's girlfriend at a beauty contest, by Bobby. He later changes costumes with Ray who cleans up the crime scene and disposes of the body. It is unrevealed if its ever recovered.
- Cindy is attacked at her house but survives. The police arrest Bobby after discovering him with knife and mask at her house. Ray gets him released by calling Cindy at Buffy's house, creating the illusion the the killer is still loose, and the police have the wrong suspect.
- Ray phones Shorty Meeks, the brother of his girlfriend, Brenda, while he's getting stoned in order to threaten him, but Shorty is so stoned the call doesn't go as planned.
- Buffy is murdered in the girl's locker room at B. A. Corpse High School despite scoffing and mocking her attacker. It's believed Bobby might be her attacker. Her body is never found.
- Heather, a classmate of Cindy and Drew, is murdered along with her boyfriend at a local make-up spot. Gail Hailstrom, a field reporter, shows up at the scene while pursuing the killer.
- Brenda Meeks is attacked, stabbed and bludgeoned several times by theater-goers after being obnoxious at the movies. She survives, but her death is likely not included as part the massacre because of the consequences.
- Ray is "murdered" in the theater bathroom, likely to fake his death and work behind the scenes as Bobby's accomplice.
- Tina, Dookie and Shorty's friends are attacked and murdered after the killer (likely Ray) infiltrates a party at Cindy's house. After having sex with Cindy, Bobby accidentally reveals that Greg and Buffy are dead despite them only being missing at that point. Shorty later gets shot, but he survives. After Bobby and Ray confess to only being copycats, Bobby is stabbed to death by Ray after he reveals he's gay, but the real killer shows up, murders Ray before attacking Cindy. He later escapes, but both Cindy, Shorty and Ray survive.
- Other murders:
- Miss Congeniality is among the murder victims at Cindy's party. Shorty watches her getting murder on the security camera while thinking he's watching a movie
- Cameraman Kenny is possibly murdered after Gail discovers Heather at the make-up spot
Killers[]

Ghostface
- Doofy Gilmore (alive)
- Bobby Prinze (deceased)
- Ray Wilkins (survives)
Trivia[]
- Although it's strictly a gag and technically apocryphal, the theater goers attacking Brenda in the theater would probably be considered accessories after the fact to Bobby and Ray's murder plot.
- It should be noted that in one deleted scene that Kenny shows up alive, covered in bandages and on crutches so he possibly survives off-screen.
- In another deleted scene, Miss Congeniality from the beauty pageant is set up as another possible victim. Her murder is taped by the hidden cameras at Cindy's house set up by Gail and Kenny and is watched by Shorty who thinks he's watching a horror movie. He even goes to the door and tells her to stop screaming so he can watch her get murdered on TV.
- The only survivors of the massacre in the movie were:
